Man tested positive for Coronavirus was part of the crowd stranded in Gaurifanta on Chait 10th

A 21-year-old youth from Lamki, Kailali tested positive for COVID-19. He was one amongst the 999 people chanting slogans in Gurifanta demanding entry into Nepal on Chait 11th. DSP Dakshya Kumar Basnet said, ”The lockdown and the closure of the border started on Chait 10th and many Nepalese, stranded in Gaurifanta demanded entry to Nepal with buses to drop them to their respective villages. The situation got intense as the mob began to throw stones at the police personnel and the cabinet meeting decided to meet their demands.” Therefore, the police drove 999 people in 21 different buses to different places. He reached Lamki on Chait 11th and was quarantined on Chait 12th in Pratappur Saraswati Secondary School in Lamichuha Municipality Ward No. 9 where his sample was collected and sent to Kathmandu, testing positive. He has been brought to Seti Provincial Hospital in an ambulance.
