Dr KC refuses to return to Kathmandu

An army helicopter had arrived at Dadeldhura from the West Air Base in Surkhet to ferry Dr KC to Kathmandu for medical assistance. But he refused to be taken there and asked for the helicopter to be returned.

On being pressured to move to Kathmandu, Dr KC urged the police administration to stop the hooliganism and has decided not to move from Dadeldhura until the demands are met.

This is Dr KC's seventeenth hunger strike demanding the improvement of medical sector across Nepal. He came to Dadelduhra eight days ago and started the hunger strike.

He is currently suffering from low blood pressure, weakness, increase in the heart rate and stomach ache. Doctors said that it is imperative to admit him in an ICU while the hospital in Dadeldhura is not  equipped enough to cater to him.
