Belauri Activates 24-Hour Emergency Center Amid Heavy Rain and Flood Risks
Kanchanpur: Belauri Municipality in Kanchanpur has activated its local Emergency Operations Center to operate around the clock in view of the potential for heavy rainfall, flooding, and inundation.
The municipality stated that the center has been made operational 24/7 to mitigate potential disaster risks following a forecast by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology warning of possible heavy rain, flooding, and waterlogging in the area.
According to the municipality, residents can contact the center to report incidents such as flooding, inundation, or other emergencies, seek necessary assistance, and coordinate with relevant agencies.
The municipality has urged residents to avoid riverbanks, flood-prone areas, and other high-risk locations. It has also requested everyone to comply with early warnings and instructions issued by the concerned authorities.
