David Warner to Join Kathmandu Gorkhas for Nepal Premier League

Kathmandu: Renowned Australian cricketer David Warner is set to visit Nepal to play in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

The NPL team Kathmandu Gorkhas announced via social media that they have signed Warner for the third edition of the tournament.

At 39, David Warner is the biggest name to date to join the NPL. Previously, Karnali Yaks had signed India’s Shikhar Dhawan for the first edition, while Biratnagar Kings signed South Africa’s Faf du Plessis for the second edition.

Warner has scored 3,277 runs in 110 T20 International matches, including one century and 28 half-centuries. Across all T20 cricket, he has amassed 14,284 runs, featuring 10 centuries and 118 half-centuries in 439 matches.

With the Australian national team, Warner has won the 2015 and 2023 ODI World Cups, the 2021 T20 World Cup, and the 2023 World Test Championship.

Warner brings extensive experience from playing in various T20 leagues, including the IPL in India, BBL in Australia, and CPL in the West Indies.
