Woman Arrested in Dhangadhi with Illegal Goods Worth Rs. 142,000

Dhangadhi: A woman has been arrested in Dhangadhi, Kailali, with illegal goods brought into Nepal by evading customs duties.

Nirmala Joshi, 38, of Deoria, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-7, was arrested after a police team from the District Police Office, Kailali, recovered kurtis, dhotis, gowns and other items worth an estimated Rs. 142,000 from her residence.

According to police, Joshi had illegally brought the goods from India by evading customs duties. The recovered goods and Joshi have been sent to the Customs Office, Trinagar, Kailali, for necessary action.
