Illegal goods worth Rs 254,000 seized from Kailali and Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: Illegal goods worth Rs 254,000 have been seized from Kailali and Kanchanpur.

Goods worth an estimated Rs 150,000 that were illegally imported from India by evading customs duties have been seized from various locations in Kailali. Police teams deployed from the District Police Office, Kailali, and its subordinate offices recovered the abandoned goods on Thursday and took them into custody.

The seized goods include sugar, crackers, sarees, suit pieces, blouses and various types of fruit seedlings.

Similarly, police deployed from the Police Post Parasan in Kanchanpur recovered abandoned glasses worth an estimated Rs 144,000 on Thursday night. The glasses were also found to have been illegally imported from India by evading customs duties.
