Customs-evaded tractor parts recovered from Banighat area in Tikapur

Tikapur: Police have recovered various tractor parts that were illegally imported by evading customs from the Banighat bridge area in Tikapur Municipality-6, Kailali.

The items were found abandoned at around 12:30 pm on July 21 by a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Tikapur under the command of Police Constable Dharma Bahadur Saud.

According to police, the recovered goods include 6 wheel filter assemblies, 4 sets of soldier filter fits, 1 air filter, 1 set of brake discs, 1 light switch, 1 lock kit, 1 stop cable, 34 tally clips, 1 fine bolt, 1 packet spring and 4 wheel seals.

The estimated value of the seized tractor parts is Rs 25,300. Police said preparations are underway to secure the items at the Area Police Office, Tikapur, complete necessary legal procedures and hand them over to the Customs Office, Satti, for further action.
