Illegal goods worth Rs 258,230 seized in Kailali and Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: Police have seized various goods worth Rs 258,230 that were illegally brought from India into Kailali and Kanchanpur by evading customs duties.

A police team deployed under the District Police Office, Kailali, confiscated sugar, bidis, tobacco, plastic spoons, shoe pieces, plastic film and other items worth Rs 147,830 from Hasnapur in Joshipur Rural Municipality-4, Kharwa and the Gobarela Ghat area of Kailari Rural Municipality-5 on Sunday.

Similarly, a police team under the District Police Office, Kanchanpur seized sugar, sweets, pulses, plastic film and grocery items worth Rs 110,400 from Gaddachauki in Bhimdatta Municipality-11 and the Kaluwapur area of Shuklaphanta Municipality-11.
