Sudurpaschim Chief Minister Shah dismisses all UML ministers

Dhangadhi: Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has dismissed all ministers representing the CPN-UML from the provincial government.

Chief Minister Shah removed four UML ministers from their posts.

Earlier, Chief Minister Shah had called UML ministers collectively to the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers and sought the party’s official position regarding the budget.

He had given the UML ministers an ultimatum to decide within an hour whether to support the passage of the budget or leave the government.

Less than an hour after giving the options of supporting budget approval, leaving the government or withdrawing support, Chief Minister Shah dismissed all UML ministers, stating that it was not appropriate to oppose the budget while remaining in the government.
