Committee formed to probe study leave misuse and land issues at Sudurpaschim University

Kathmandu: A committee has been formed to investigate the misuse of study leave and issues related to land owned or used by Sudurpaschim University.

The Executive Council of the university has formed a committee under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Bhatta to investigate the misuse of study leave and submit a report.

Similarly, another committee has been formed under the coordination of Professor Yagya Raj Pathak to investigate the land owned or used by the university and its constituent campuses.

A working procedure has also been formulated under the coordination of Keshav Raj Bhatta, Dean of the Faculty of Management, to ensure transparent management of the 10 percent scholarship provided by the constituent campuses of the university.

The university has also invited electronic bids for the construction of academic and administrative buildings of the Central Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Central Department of Education, Central Department of General Sciences, Central Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, and Central Department of Law.

The university stated that these decisions were taken after Prof. Dr. Kishan Dutt Bhatta assumed office, with priority given to good governance, transparency and institutional reforms.
