Blood stock information across Nepal now available through Nagarik app

Kathmandu: Information about available blood stock across the country can now be accessed through the Nagarik app.

With the integration of the ‘Blood Information’ portal into the Nagarik app, users can now receive real-time details on the number of available blood units and blood groups at various blood transfusion centers.

The Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene stated that the facility allows users to view blood stock details of different blood groups available at blood transfusion centers across the country from a single platform.

The service has been integrated into the Nagarik app with the objective of making access to health services more effective, transparent and technology-friendly. It is expected to help patients and their relatives requiring blood during emergencies by providing quick access to necessary information, improving blood management and supporting better coordination of blood transfusion services.
