Far Western government allocates over Rs 570 million for vehicles in upcoming fiscal year
Dhangadhi: The Far Western Provincial Government has allocated a substantial budget for vehicle management in the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84, planning to spend more than Rs 576.9 million on vehicle procurement, fuel, maintenance and rental.
According to the budget presented by Economic Affairs Minister Bikram Singh Dhami in the provincial assembly on Asad 1, Rs 347.763 million has been allocated for the purchase of two-wheelers and four-wheelers for ministries and subordinate offices. In addition, Rs 15.557 million has been set aside for vehicle rental.
The budget also allocates Rs 133.36 million for fuel expenses. Of this amount, Rs 15.138 million has been earmarked for office purposes, Rs 103.283 million for office purposes and Rs 19.15 million for other purposes.
Similarly, Rs 83.283 crore has been allocated for vehicle maintenance. Altogether, the provincial government plans to spend more than Rs 576.9 crore on vehicle purchase, fuel, maintenance and rental alone.
The provincial government’s spending on vehicles has also been significant in previous years. In the current fiscal year 2082/83, vehicles worth Rs 85.439 crore were purchased, while Rs 58.87 crore was spent in the fiscal year 2081/82.
