Tikapur Municipality announces budget of 1.3 Billion for fiscal year 2083/84 BS

Tikapur: Tikapur Municipality has announced a budget of 1.3 billion 6.777 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 during its 19th municipal council meeting.

The assembly, chaired by senior member of the municipal assembly Jayaram Tharu, estimated that 655.6 million will be received from the federal government and 146.6 million from the Sudurpaschim Province government, while 244.7 million will be generated from internal sources.

Economic Development Committee Coordinator Yagya Prasad Neupane presented the budget at the assembly.

Mayor Ramlal Dagoura Tharu had already resigned and become a candidate for the House of Representatives, and Deputy Mayor Khadak Bahadur Shah is currently suspended, so the assembly was chaired by senior member Tharu.

In the assembly, Ward No. 1 Ward Chairman Mohan BK presented the policy program, Ward No. 2 Ward Chairman Deepak Chaudhary presented other economic activities, and Ward No. 4 Ward Chairman Lalbir Chaudhary presented various proposals. The policy and program of the municipality has adopted a policy of exempting the revenue fee payable by the municipality for 10 years to production-oriented industries established using local raw materials.

The policy and program has put forward a program to exempt government-owned houses and land, government hospital land, Guthi land, educational institutions, companies, committees, authorities, boards, organizations operated without the purpose of profit, houses and real estate in public places such as religious institutions, drinking water, and burial grounds from tax.
