NEPSE index falls by double digits amid market decline
Kathmandu: The NEPSE index, which measures share turnover in the stock market, has fallen by double digits.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index dropped by 16.54 points to 2,632.96. Similarly, the sensitive index, which measures the turnover of large companies, declined by 1.84 points to 455.83.
A total of 7,699,227 shares of 351 companies were traded at Rs 2,670,183,2965. After today’s trading, the market capitalization stands at Rs 459,570,119,924.
Global IME Bank led the market in terms of turnover. Similarly, Sopan Pharmaceuticals, NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited, Reliance Spinning Mills, and Aankhu Khola Hydropower Company were among the top five.
According to NEPSE, investors in bonds of Taksar Piluwa Khola Hydropower, Yambling Hydropower, Snow River Limited, Dhauwagiri Laghubitta, and Nepal SBI Bank recorded gains.
Similarly, investors in Swabhiman Laghubitta, Sopan Pharmaceuticals, Asian Hydropower, Shikhar Power Development, and Kalinchowk Hydropower recorded losses.
