RSP voting for central member posts concludes

Chitwan: Voting for the central member posts of the National Independent Party (RSP) has concluded.

According to the Election Commission, the voting, which began at 12:00 pm tonight, concluded at 12:30 pm.

RSP Chitwan President Mini Madhav Khanal stated that an estimated 3,950 votes were cast out of 4,100 representatives in the general convention.

The Election Commission has said that the results will be made public within two hours, as voting was conducted through electronic machines. With the completion of voting for 99 members in the first phase of the RSP general convention underway in Bharatpur, Chitwan, the election process will now move forward.

According to party spokesperson Manish Jha, the 99 elected central members will select office bearers in the second phase of the election. The first national general convention of the RSP began in Chitwan on Asad 20.
