Dhangadhi schools to remain closed for four days amid rising heat

Dhangadhi: Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City has announced a four-day closure of community and institutional schools due to increasing heat in the area.

According to a notice issued by the Education Branch of the Sub-metropolitan City, the decision was taken considering the potential adverse effects of rising temperatures on the health of students attending schools in recent days.

As per the notice, all community and institutional schools within Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City will remain closed for four days from Ashad 9 to Ashad 12, including the public holidays in between.

Parents have been urged to ensure that students remain safe at home during the holiday period and to take necessary precautions to avoid exposure to excessive heat.

Temperatures in the Dhangadhi area have been steadily increasing in recent days. The local authority stated that the decision to close schools was made in view of the possible health impacts on children.

The Sub-metropolitan City has also stated that it will continue to monitor weather conditions and make further decisions as necessary.
