Dhangadhi: Leader Bharat Bahadur Bohara has publicly shared details surrounding the clash that occurred at Riddhi-Siddhi Party Palace in Dhangadhi during the Far Western Province General Convention of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSWP).

According to Bohara, the incident took place on Asad 17 during the provincial general convention following a dispute with RSWP leader Shailesh Kumar Singh and his supporters. He stated that the clash was not an isolated event but the outcome of tensions that had been building since the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21.

Bohara said he had been assigned the responsibility of election coordinator for Bungal Municipality in Bajhang during the elections. He noted that he dedicated his time, effort, and personal finances—setting aside his own business activities—to carry out the campaign. He clarified that all records and evidence of the Rs 6–7 lakh spent under his responsibility are securely maintained.

He alleged that Shailesh Kumar Singh has been publicly accusing him of misappropriating funds since the elections, causing him mental distress and damaging his reputation. Bohara stated that despite expressing readiness to present full financial details and even return the amount via cheque, Singh continued to abuse and insult him.

According to Bohara, efforts were made at the municipal and district levels to prevent him from becoming a central convention representative. He claimed that the situation escalated into a clash after Singh allegedly used force at the convention venue while discussions were ongoing regarding the matter. Several individuals from both sides were injured, and Bohara said he also sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.

He further stated that Govinda Dhami, who was seriously injured in the incident, was taken into custody, while Shailesh Kumar Singh was released by police on the way. Bohara described this as a misuse of power and authority. He maintained that he neither took money nor goods from anyone during the election and insisted that his actions were in self-defense.

Bohara has announced that he is preparing to approach the court within a few days seeking justice and expressed strong faith in truth and the legal system. He also said that media coverage of the incident has created confusion and caused harm to his associates, supporters, and the party.
