Sudurpaschim Police report daily enforcement actions including seizures, arrests, and traffic fines
Dhangadhi: Nepal Police has recently begun making public the work carried out on a daily basis through its official Facebook page. In line with this, the Sudurpaschim Province Police has released details of actions taken on Wednesday, Jestha 20, including efforts related to smuggling control, traffic enforcement, drug control, and the arrest of absconding individuals.
According to the report, Sudurpaschim Province Police seized goods worth more than Rs 250,000 involved in customs evasion and collected Rs 93,500 in fines from vehicles violating traffic rules on Wednesday alone.
The details were made public following special surveillance and enforcement operations conducted from 6 am on Jestha 20 to 6 am on Jestha 21.
Police stated that goods worth Rs 250,000 were confiscated from various locations during the operation period. Additionally, Rs 93,500 was collected as revenue through action against traffic rule violations.
Similarly, four absconding accused were arrested from different districts of the province on the same day. As part of anti-drug operations, four individuals were taken into custody along with 2 grams and 100 milligrams of brown heroin.
The Sudurpaschim Province Police Office, Dhangadhi, stated that monitoring and enforcement activities have been intensified to control crime, curb drug-related activities, and prevent revenue leakage.
