Five arrested after late-night brawl among construction entrepreneurs in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Police have arrested five individuals following a brawl between construction entrepreneurs in the Ghodaghodi Municipality area of Kailali.

The incident occurred around midnight on Sunday at Dahit Hotel and Restaurant in Sukhad, Ghodaghodi Municipality-1, reportedly after alcohol consumption. According to initial information, a minor dispute between a construction entrepreneur and others escalated into a physical altercation.

According to DSP Yogendra Timilsina, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Kailali, five people involved in the incident have been taken into custody. Those arrested include construction entrepreneurs Shiva Kunwar, 48, of Bardagoria Rural Municipality-5; Sanesh Thapa, 26; Lal Bahadur Chaudhary, 32, of Ghodaghodi Municipality-8; Suresh Chaudhary, 33, of the same municipality-10; and Ram Bhatta, 27, of Bardagoria-5.

Police said the dispute reportedly began while construction entrepreneur Dhananjaya Kathayat of Sukhad was having a meal at the hotel. He was allegedly assaulted during the clash and was also taken into custody in the initial stage.

According to police, some individuals also misbehaved with security personnel who arrived to control the situation. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
