Eight arrested with heroin in Kailali and Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: Eight individuals have been arrested with heroin from Kailali and Kanchanpur.

Police arrested six people, including 20-year-old Ankit Dhami, a resident of the same area, with 1 gram 70 milligrams of illegal brown heroin from Chatakpur, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3, Kailali, on Wednesday afternoon. The substance was recovered during a check conducted by a joint team deployed from the District Police Office, Kailali, and the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office, Dhangadhi.

Similarly, police arrested two individuals, including 27-year-old Bidyan Bista, a resident of Bhimdatta Municipality-4, Bhagatpur, with 4 grams 680 milligrams of illegal brown heroin from Pashupati Tole, Dodhara Chandani Municipality-1, Kanchanpur, on Wednesday morning. According to the Area Police Office, Dodhara Chandani, they were taken into custody along with the substance.

Police stated that necessary investigations into the cases are ongoing.
