Six arrested with drugs in Kanchanpur, motorcycle seized
Kanchanpur: Police have arrested six people with illegal drugs from various places in Kanchanpur district. They were arrested with a substance resembling brown heroin and other drugs during checks conducted at different locations in the district on Saturday evening.
A team deployed from Police Post Bhunda in the Sadakghat area of Belauri Municipality-10, while conducting a suspicious check, found 2 grams 190 milligrams of a substance resembling brown heroin and five tramadol capsules from a motorcycle (Suppra 01-013 Pa 2681) driven by 24-year-old Bijay Giri of Punarbas Municipality-3. Aman Tamang, 21, and Rohan Bik, 24, who were riding the same motorcycle, have also been taken into custody.
Similarly, a team deployed from the Far Western Province Police Office, Dhangadhi, and the Narcotics Control Bureau Branch Office, Mahendranagar, while checking a motorcycle (Province 3-092 Pa 111) in the 66-acre area of Punarbas Municipality-5, seized 9 grams 430 milligrams of a substance resembling brown heroin from the driver, 20-year-old Rohan Tamang, and the passenger, 22-year-old Birendra Rana.
Likewise, a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Raikwar, arrested 31-year-old Anil Rana from Krishnapur Municipality-9, Rajghat, with 58 milligrams of a substance resembling brown heroin.
Police stated that all those arrested have been taken into custody along with the motorcycle, and necessary investigations are underway.
