Dadeldhura’s Aakriti Awasthi nominated for Women and Social Affairs Committee chair
Dhangadhi: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) has finalized its candidates for the parliamentary committee chairpersons. The parliamentary party meeting held on Thursday finalized the names for the chairpersons of various committees.
The meeting decided to give the chairpersonship of the Public Accounts Committee to the main opposition party. With this decision, Nepali Congress’ Bharat Bahadur Khadka has registered his candidacy for the chairperson of the committee.
The RSWP has nominated Aakriti Awasthi as its candidate for the Women and Social Affairs Committee. Awasthi is a proportional representation MP from Dadeldhura.
Similarly, Samiksha Baskota has been nominated for the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, Ashok Chaudhary for the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, Ashish Gajurel for the Infrastructure Development Committee, and Hari Dhakal for the State Administration and Good Governance Committee. Dr. Ojaswi Sherchan and Bodhanarayan Shrestha have been nominated as candidates for the Parliamentary Hearing Committee. Likewise, Ganesh Karki has been nominated for the State Directive Principles, Policy and Responsibilities Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, Sumnima Udas for the International Relations and Tourism Committee, Krishnahari Budhathoki for the Finance Committee, and Rahabar Ansari for the Industry, Commerce, Labor and Consumer Welfare Committee.
