Two absconding defendants arrested in Kailali and Kanchanpur
Dhangadhi: Two absconding defendants from Kailali and Kanchanpur have been arrested by police.
Tirtha Raj Chaudhary, 44, of Kailari Rural Municipality-6, who had been sentenced by the Kailali District Court to 15 days in prison and a fine of Rs 28,541 in a forest produce case, was arrested on Monday. A police team from the Area Police Office, Bahuliya, apprehended him from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-19.
Similarly, Gobinda Damai, 25, of Bhimdatta Municipality-10, Ganjar, Kanchanpur, who had been sentenced by the Kanchanpur District Court on 27 Kartik, 2082, to four months in prison and a fine of Rs 3,000 in a theft case, was also arrested. He was taken into custody from his home by a police team from Police Post Jimuwa, Kanchanpur, on Monday, according to police.
