NCP Leader Barshaman Pun pledges support to government for nation building

Kathmandu: NCP leader Barshaman Pun has affirmed that his party is ready to support the government in its nation-building efforts.

Speaking at a House of Representatives meeting, he expressed his commitment to cooperate with the government on matters of social justice and transformation, while emphasizing that the party will not compromise on the fundamental values of democracy, the republic, and inclusiveness.

Pun stated that his party will play the role of a constructive opposition, respecting public opinion reflected in the recent elections. Recalling the 2064 BS elections, he noted that the party had also received public support at that time, similar to the current support for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

He acknowledged that the two-thirds majority obtained in the past was not fully utilized and stressed that all parties must now move forward with awareness and responsibility.
