Jamuna Chand appointed chairperson of Khaptad tourism development board

Dhangadhi: The Sudurpaschim Provincial Government has appointed Jamuna Chand of the CPN (UML) as the Chairperson of the Khaptad Tourism Development Board.

The appointment was made during a meeting of the Provincial Council of Ministers. Chand had previously contested as the UML candidate for Deputy Chief from Jayaprithi Municipality-10 in Bajhang but was defeated.

According to Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hira Singh Sarki, the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday also appointed other office bearers of the committee. Mayadevi Kunwar of Doti, Gokuldevi Singh of Bajhang, and Min Bahadur Shahi of Bajura have been appointed as members.

There are four development committees under the provincial government. Minister Sarki stated that appointments for the remaining committees will be finalized soon.
