Unauthorized ayurvedic camp by ‘Shivashakti Baba’ shut down in Attariya

Attariya: Authorities have shut down an Ayurvedic treatment camp operated by ‘Shivashakti Baba’ in Attariya, Kailali, for charging fees without permission.

The camp, which had been running at Namaste Hotel since Saturday, was closed on Tuesday morning following instructions from the district administration. Although initially promoted as a free service, complaints were later filed alleging that fees were being charged.

According to DSP Ran Bahadur Chand of the Area Police Office, Malakheti, the camp was closed after the organizers failed to produce the required permit when asked for authorization. He said the operator had been called to the police office on Monday and warned not to continue without permission.

The administration also reported complaints that the camp was charging high prices for medicines and collecting entry fees.

The camp had been attracting large crowds seeking treatment and was originally scheduled to run until Chaitra 14. However, it was shut down on Tuesday following administrative intervention. Earlier, a similar camp had also been operated in Sukkhad, Kailali.
