Free drinking water taps installed in Kaluwapur market

Kanchanpur: Two free drinking water taps have been installed in Kaluwapur market, located in Shuklaphanta Municipality-11, to provide easy access to water for the general public.

The initiative was carried out by the Shuklaphanta Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Amarpur-Kaluwapur Drinking Water and Sanitation Consumers Committee. The taps have been set up in the market area for the convenience of daily visitors.

Association President Rajesh Dhami said the arrangement was made considering the needs of businessmen, service recipients, and passengers who regularly visit the market. He noted that the taps were installed in response to the situation where people had to buy drinking water due to shortages in the area.

Local residents said that the operation of the taps has eliminated the need to purchase water in the market. The facility has directly benefited the general public, drivers, passengers, and traders who frequent the area.

People have expressed satisfaction that drinking water, especially essential during the summer season, is now readily available. The Shuklaphanta Chamber of Commerce and Industry has previously undertaken cleanliness campaigns, public awareness programs, and other social initiatives in the market area.
