Childbirth patient from Bajura airlifted to Surkhet for critical care

Surkhet: Sarata Rokaya, a 21-year-old childbirth patient from Badimalika Rural Municipality, Bajura, has been brought to Karnali Province Hospital in Surkhet for further treatment.

Rokaya, who gave birth on Tuesday night, developed a critical condition due to excessive bleeding. She was immediately referred for advanced medical care, according to Bajura Chief District Officer Dorendra Niraula.

Following the doctor’s advice, she was airlifted by helicopter under the President’s Women Upliftment Program to a well-equipped hospital in Surkhet.

She is currently receiving treatment at Karnali Province Hospital, Surkhet.
