Kailali Chamber of Commerce urges efficient supply system amid petroleum and gas shortages
Dhangadhi: The Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry has raised concerns over black marketing caused by artificial shortages of petroleum products and LP gas in the market.
In a press release, the association urged all business operators to act responsibly and be accountable to both consumers and the state, ensuring that the supply process remains as simple and accessible as possible. Highlighting the recent disruptions in petroleum product supplies due to tensions in Southwest Asia, the chamber also called on the government to facilitate supply arrangements for businesses in a manner that does not impact trade or commerce.
"We call upon all businessmen to make gas easily available to the general consumers at the weight and price determined by the government," the statement said. "We request all consumers not to hoard more than necessary and to purchase gas according to the weight specified by the government."
The chamber further stated that it will not be responsible for any issues related to leakage, black marketing, or discrepancies in weight, quality, and price as specified by the government. Individuals and organizations engaging in such activities will be responsible for any actions taken against them.
