Three Kailali youths arrested in India with heroin

Dhangadhi: A joint team of the Indian Border Security Force (SSB) and local police arrested three Nepalis with 8.50 grams of brown sugar in the Basahi area of Sampurnanagar, Khiri district, India, on Monday evening.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Pradeep Chaukal, Binod Pun Magar, and Bimal Chand from Godavari, Kailali. The SSB stated that the drugs were recovered from the Pulsar motorcycle they were riding.

All three have been handed over to the Sampurnanagar police for further legal proceedings.

Authorities noted that incidents of drug trafficking have been increasing in the southern border area of Kanchanpur. Despite regular arrests by the police, the illegal drug trade has not yet been fully controlled.
