SI Suresh Bahadur Bohara named 'Police of the Month' for role in murder investigation

Dhangadhi: Deputy Inspector of Police (SI) Suresh Bahadur Bohara of the District Police Office, Kailali, has been awarded the 'Police of the Month' commendation for his active role in investigating a recent murder case and securing the crime scene.

According to police, on the night of Falgun 24, Dammarraj Joshi attacked his 30-year-old wife, Saraswati Awasthi Joshi, with a sharp weapon in Deoriya, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-7. Saraswati died on the spot from severe head injuries.

Neighbors alerted the police about the incident by phone that night. Upon receiving the information, an 11-member team led by SI Bohara was deployed from the District Police Office, Kailali, to the scene.

Police stated that the team played a crucial role in securing the scene, conducting preliminary investigations, and collecting necessary evidence.

In recognition of his dedication and excellent performance in handling the case, Kailali Police Chief SP Narendra Bahadur Chand declared SI Bohara the 'Policeman of the Month' for Falgun 2082 BS and presented him with a letter of appreciation.
