Gold and silver prices decline in local market
Kathmandu: The price of gold and silver in the local market has decreased today compared to Friday. The price of gold has dropped by Rs 4,800 per tola, while the price of silver has fallen by Rs 225 per tola.
According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Federation, the price of gold in the local market has been fixed at Rs 309,400 per tola today, while the price of one tola of silver has been set at Rs 5,270.
Last Friday, one tola of gold was traded at Rs 314,200 and the same amount of silver at Rs 5,495. On Thursday, gold in the local market was traded at Rs 317,000 and silver at Rs 5,515. Last Wednesday, one tola of gold was bought and sold at Rs 319,000, while the price of one tola of silver was fixed at Rs 5,720.
According to international media, one ounce of gold is being traded at Rs 5,023 in the international market today, while the same amount of silver is trading at $81.
