Election policeman dies after falling from cliff in Darchula

Khalanga: An election policeman has died after falling from a cliff while returning home after completing election duties in Darchula.

Prakash Dhami, 40, of Lekam Rural Municipality-2, who was seriously injured in the fall, died during treatment at Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi, according to Hemraj Bhatta, Police Inspector and Information Officer at the District Police Office.

Dhami sustained injuries after falling from a cliff in Lekam Rural Municipality-1 while returning home on Thursday. He was taken to Dhangadhi for treatment but died today during treatment, the District Police Office said.
