Booth construction underway across 16 constituencies in Sudurpaschim ahead of thursday’s vote

Dhangadhi: All preparations have been completed for the voting scheduled for Thursday in all 16 constituencies of Sudurpaschim Province. A total of 1,716,660 voters will cast their ballots through 1,176 polling stations and 2,199 polling booths across the province.

According to the Provincial Election Office, all necessary voting materials have been safely delivered to their respective centers. Office Chief Premraj Bhatta confirmed that polling officers, staff, ballot papers and ballot boxes have reached all locations.

Based on security sensitivity, 481 polling stations and 985 polling booths have been categorized as highly sensitive, while 395 polling stations have been designated as sensitive. The Election Office stated that security measures have been intensified in these areas.

As of Wednesday, booth construction work has reached the final stage in most polling stations. Separate lines and booths have been arranged for women, persons with disabilities and senior citizens to facilitate the voting process. Election staff have already reached their assigned centers.
