1,079 personnel deployed for house of representatives elections in Doti

Doti: A total of 1,079 employees have been deployed at polling stations across Doti for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for the 21st. The information was shared by Chief Election Officer Padma Raj Pandey during an interaction program on ‘Elections and Mass Communication’ organized by the District Election Office.

According to Pandey, the district has 181 polling stations, including one temporary center. Each polling station has been assigned one polling officer and one assistant polling officer. At centers with more than 300 voters, three assistant employees have been deployed, while centers with fewer than 300 voters have been assigned two assistant employees. Additionally, one support staff member has been appointed at each center. There are seven polling stations in the district with fewer than 300 voters.

District Election Officer Karunakar Pant stated that training sessions for polling officers and assistant polling officers were conducted on Thursday and Friday. He also confirmed that ballot papers and other necessary election materials have arrived in the district.

Chief District Officer Kalpana Ghimire Nepal said that a comprehensive security plan has been prepared and implemented to ensure the elections are conducted in a peaceful and fear-free environment. She urged all stakeholders to cooperate in making the election process successful.
