Dhangadhi: Residents of Kailali will no longer need to wait in long lines at the central land registration office, as land-related services will now be available directly from local levels.

A two-day training on land administration and Geographic Information System (GIS) has begun in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City, aimed at enabling employees to carry out land administration work locally. The training, organized by the Federal Ministry of Land Management and Poverty Alleviation, is being conducted on Monday and Tuesday for staff from seven local levels in Kailali.

Employees from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City, Godawari Municipality, Gauriganga Municipality, Ghodaghodi, Bhajani, Lamkichuha, and Tikapur Municipality, along with local levels under Kanchanpur district, are participating in the training on land administration and GIS.

Hari Prasad Pant, spokesperson and director of the Department of Land Management and Records, stated that the training is organized in collaboration with the Babarmahal Project and Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City. He said the initiative will allow the resumption of land deed and transfer services previously provided by the Land Registry at the local level.

A total of 43 employees from the Land Registry and local levels are participating in the program. Following the training, several land administration services will be accessible directly from local offices, streamlining the process for citizens.
