13 Candidates file nominations for House of Representatives election in Dadeldhura

Dadeldhura: A total of 13 candidates have registered their candidacies in Dadeldhura district for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. Candidates from various political parties as well as independents completed the nomination process.

According to the Office of the District Chief Electoral Officer, candidacy registration was carried out on Tuesday from 10 am to 5 pm as per the published schedule. During this period, candidates representing parties including the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepali Communist Party, National Independent Party and others submitted their nominations.

Chief Electoral Officer and District Judge Arun Kumar Koirala informed that Nainsingh Mahar from the Nepali Congress, Chakra Prasad Snehi from CPN-UML and Mansingh Mal from the Nepali Communist Party have registered their candidacies. Likewise, Dr. Tara Prasad Joshi from the National Independent Party, Govinda Khadayat from the National Prajatantra Party, Khadak Bahadur Thakurathi from the Aam Janata Party, Chandradev BK from the National Janamorcha, Laxmi Dutta Bhatta from the Jai Matrubhumi Party, Mahendra Pun Magar from the Shram Sanskriti Party and Surendra Raj Bhatta from the Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party have also filed their nominations.

In addition, Surendra Rawal, Gorakh Bahadur Air and Tirtharaj Upreti have registered as independent candidates.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer stated that all candidates who have filed nominations are men. Following the completion of the nomination process, procedures including publication of the list of candidates, consideration of objections, and issuance of the final list will be carried out.

Dadeldhura has only one constituency for the House of Representatives.
