District administration orders surrender of arms and ammunition in Bajura

Bajura: The District Administration Office, Bajura has directed individuals in the district to surrender all types of arms and ammunition. The administration has urged the surrender of weapons, including loaded guns kept individually, whether licensed or unlicensed, to the District Police Office, Bajura or the nearest police station by Magh 15, 2082 BS.

According to a notice issued on Tuesday, the directive has been issued with the objective of conducting the upcoming House of Representatives member election 2082 in a free, fair, reliable and peaceful manner.

Chief District Officer Dorendra Niraula of the District Administration Office, Bajura, clarified that action will be taken in accordance with prevailing laws if arms and ammunition are not surrendered within the specified deadline.

He stated that the notice was issued to ensure a free, fair, reliable and peaceful environment for the House of Representatives member election scheduled to be held on Falgun 21.
