Provincial Ministers inspect integrated checkposts at Trinagar–Gaddachauki border
Dhangadhi: Three ministers of the Sudurpaschim provincial government inspected the Integrated Checkposts under construction at the Nepal–India border on Tuesday. Minister for Economic Affairs Bahadur Singh Thapa, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Surendra Pal, and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hira Singh Sarki inspected the checkposts being built at the Trinagar (Gauriphanta) and Gaddachauki border points.
Minister for Economic Affairs Thapa stated that the integrated checkposts are being constructed to streamline border check-in procedures and to make travel easier for the general public and tourists entering from India. He added that the necessary budget was allocated after discussions in the Council of Ministers.
Arrangements have also been made to install screening machines at the under-construction checkposts to inspect goods and individuals.
