Vice-Chancellor and registrar appointed at Shaheed Dashrath Chand health sciences university

Dhangadhi: The Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of Shaheed Dashrath Chand Health Sciences University in Geta, Kailali have been appointed. The appointments were made during the second meeting of the University Assembly held on Tuesday at the Ministry of Education.

The assembly, chaired by Education Minister Mahabir Pun, appointed Professor Dr. Sunil Kumar Joshi as Vice-Chancellor and Dr. Khemraj Joshi as Registrar, according to assembly member Dr. Dambar Pal.

Earlier, the first meeting of the University Assembly had formed a Selection and Recommendation Committee to select candidates for the posts of Vice-Chancellor and Registrar. Based on the recommendations submitted by the committee, the second assembly finalized the appointments.

The recommendation committee had recommended one candidate for the Vice-Chancellor position and three candidates for the post of Registrar. Of the recommended candidates for Registrar, two names were placed on the alternate list.

The committee had initially received no applications for the Vice-Chancellor position. Applications were received only after the third notification was issued. The first notification was published on Kartik 16, followed by the second on Kartik 30 and the third on Mangsir 23.

For the post of Registrar, ten applications were received during the first round of applications.
