Ramesh Lekhak to record statement before inquiry commission on monday

Kathmandu: Outgoing Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that he will appear before the inquiry commission to record his statement.

Speaking to journalists at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Thursday, Lekhak said he had been summoned by the commission formed to investigate the incidents that occurred on Bhadra 23 and 24. He stated that he decided to appear before the commission after being called to provide details related to the incidents.

Lekhak clarified that although the commission had asked him to appear on Friday, he informed them that he would present himself on Monday instead. “They called me for tomorrow, but I have informed them that I will come on Monday. I will go to the commission on Monday, the 14th,” he said.
