Customs-evaded goods seized in Kailali and Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: Police have seized goods imported by evading customs from Kailali and Kanchanpur districts.

A police patrol team deployed from the District Police Office, Kailali, recovered onions, sugar, syrup, shoe parts and other goods worth approximately Rs 28,800. The goods were found near the Sisa Post area of Dhangadhi-3 and had been illegally brought in from India by bypassing customs procedures.

Similarly, a police patrol team from the Area Police Office, Beldandi, Kanchanpur, seized shawls, shoe parts, kurthas, surwals, T-shirts and other items worth Rs 21,800. The goods were recovered from the Jhilmila area of Beldandi Rural Municipality-5 in Kanchanpur.

Police have taken the seized goods under control for further necessary action.
