Patan municipality distributes induction stoves to female health volunteers in Baitadi
Baitadi: Patan Municipality in Baitadi has continued its campaign of distributing electric induction stoves to female health volunteers working within the municipal area.
On the occasion of Women’s Health Volunteer Day on November 19, induction stoves were distributed to 23 female health volunteers from Wards No. 8, 9 and 10. Following this, stoves were also provided to seven community female health volunteers from Ward No. 7.
Speaking at a program organized at the Patan Municipality Assembly Hall on Tuesday, Madan Singh Mahara, Head of the Health Branch of Patan Municipality, informed that electric induction stoves were distributed to 64 female health volunteers from Wards No. 2 to 6.
According to the plan to distribute induction stoves to 109 female health volunteers across the municipality, stoves will be provided to 15 female health volunteers from Ward No. 1 within the next few days, said Health Branch Chief Mahara.
The Health Branch stated that the induction stoves were distributed with the aim of reducing the workload of female health volunteers, supporting forest and environmental conservation, and further encouraging them.
Speaking at the program, Mayor Gauri Singh Rawal said that the initiative was launched at the municipal level in recognition of the significant contributions made by female health volunteers in the health sector.
Similarly, Chief Administrative Officer Tekraj Aryal said the program was organized in their honor, noting that female health volunteers play an important role in ensuring citizens’ access to basic health services.
