15th President's running shield competition to be held in Godavari from Mangsir 16

Dhangadhi: The 15th President's Running Shield Competition is set to take place in Godavari, Kailali, from Mangsir 16 to 19. This decision was made at a meeting of the Godavari Municipality President's Running Shield Competition Management and Steering Committee held on Monday.

Education Branch Chief Prayagraj Joshi stated that the competition will be held at Durgalaxmi Secondary School in Godavari Municipality-2. The Education Branch has requested community and institutional schools in the municipality to submit the names of participating students and details of sports teachers by Mangsir 10.

The competition will feature events in volleyball, kabaddi, athletics, including running, jumping, and throwing (high jump, long jump, triple jump, and javelin throw), as well as martial arts disciplines such as karate, taekwondo, and wushu.
