Dreamers Cup 2082 day 5: Thrilling matches conclude with multiple victories

Dhangadhi: The fifth day of the Dreamers Cup 2082, held at the Dhangadhi Cricket Academy (DCA) ground under the slogan ‘Tiny Cricketers, Big Dreams,’ witnessed five exciting matches, showcasing competitive cricket among local teams.

The day began with the 21st match between Dhangadhi Pragya Sadan (DPS) and Axis Vidyashram. DPS, after winning the toss, set a target of 39 runs. Axis Vidyashram chased it successfully, winning by 6 wickets in 7.2 overs. Krish Bogati of Axis was named Player of the Match for taking 2 wickets, scoring 7 runs in 9 balls, and contributing 7 runs in 2 overs.

In the 22nd match, Chaitanya Pathshala faced Vadhasalya Vidya Niketan. Chaitanya Pathshala posted a total of 47 runs, but Vadhasalya secured a 7-wicket victory. Vyap Rana of Vadhasalya, who took 3 wickets for 5 runs in 2 overs, earned the Player of the Match award.

The 23rd match saw Siddhartha Vidya Niketan compete against Emerald Academy. Batting first, Siddhartha set a target of 125 runs, and Emerald Academy was bowled out for 51 runs. Sulop Kunwar of Siddhartha was declared Player of the Match for taking a crucial 5 wickets for 6 runs in 2 overs, leading his team to a 73-run victory.

In the 24th match, Api Vidya Niketan faced Doon Academy. Doon Academy set a target of 93 runs after opting to field, but Api Vidya Niketan narrowly won by 1 run. Sumit Mahat of Api was awarded Player of the Match for taking 2 wickets for 11 runs in 2 overs.

The 25th and final match of the day featured Tribhuvan High School against Discovery School. Tribhuvan batted first, setting a target of 81 runs. Discovery was bowled out for 49, giving Tribhuvan a 31-run win. Bhupesh Bhatt of Tribhuvan was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance, scoring 15 runs in 12 balls and taking 2 wickets for 3 runs in 2 overs.
