Two Bardiya residents arrested in Kailali with heroin

Dhangadhi: Two individuals from Bardiya have been arrested with drugs in Kailali.

The arrested have been identified as Dharmendra Acharya, 28, and Ashish Nepali, 29, both residents of Chhapapur, Geruwa Rural Municipality-1, Bardiya. They were apprehended near the Khakraula Customs Checkpost in Tikapur Municipality-9, Kailali.

According to police, a total of 1 gram and 990 milligrams of brown heroin were recovered from their possession during a security check. Both individuals were taken into custody along with the seized substance by a police team deployed from the Police Post Kalakunda, Kailali, on Monday.

Police stated that further investigation into the case is currently underway.
