Laljhandi Rural Municipality tops health index in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Laljhandi Rural Municipality has been declared the best-performing municipality in Kanchanpur based on the health index evaluation of local levels. The recognition was announced following a performance assessment conducted among the nine municipalities of the district.

According to the results, Beldandi Rural Municipality secured the second position, while Bedkot Municipality ranked third. Certificates were awarded to the top three municipalities during the district-level annual review seminar of health programs implemented in the fiscal year 2081/082.

Laljhandi Rural Municipality earned 91 points in the evaluation, which was based on 36 different indicators. Similarly, Beldandi Rural Municipality received 83.5 points, and Bedkot Municipality scored 82 points, said Khagendra Karki, Information Officer at the Health Office, Kanchanpur.

The recognition was announced during the annual review and planning program organized by the Health Office, Kanchanpur, to assess the performance of local-level health initiatives for the fiscal year 2081/082.

Following the announcement, Laljhandi Rural Municipality expressed its commitment to further strengthen and expand sustainable health services in the coming year.
