Rain and snowfall expected in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces today

Dhangadhi: Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of a westerly wind system along with a low-pressure system formed in the Arabian Sea.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, skies will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while other provinces will experience partly cloudy conditions. Light rain is likely this afternoon in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, in a few places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces, and in one or two locations in Karnali Province.

The division has also forecast moderate snowfall in a few high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali Province.

Tonight, weather conditions are expected to remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while other regions will see partly cloudy skies. The division has predicted the possibility of light rain or snowfall in some hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
