Home Minister Aryal ends hunger strike of Achham resident

Kathmandu: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has ended the hunger strike of Madan Budha from Achham, who had been fasting to death demanding representation of the Far West in the government.

Budha had been staging a hunger strike at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu for four days with a set of three demands. Home Minister Aryal personally visited the protest site and broke the strike by offering water to Budha, according to Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson for the District Police Range, Kathmandu.

While ending the strike, Home Minister Aryal assured that the culprits mentioned in the victim’s petition would be brought to justice, as the government had officially received the complaint.
