Dhangadhi: Roshan Saud and Dasharath Saund of Achham, both trained in agriculture, have been engaged in commercial flower farming in Dhangadhi-9 for the past four years.

With a decade of experience in agriculture, the Saud brothers started commercial farming in collaboration with Bhaskar Pangeni of Kapilvastu five years ago. Roshan Saud, who leases two bighas of land in Bangraktan, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-9, has planted 11,000 Sayapatri plants this year. In addition to Dhangadhi, he is involved in commercial farming in four locations in collaboration with Pangeni.

Through their venture, ‘108 The Divine Agro Farm,’ Saund has reported earning a significant income. This year, he has set a target to sell 16,000 garlands during Tihar alone.

The Saud brothers have cultivated centipedes across two bighas and two kattas this year, aiming to produce flowers in bloom until Mangsir before switching to strawberry cultivation. Flowers started selling two weeks before Dashain and are now receiving heavy bookings.

In the garden, Roshan Saud has cultivated Karma 555, Karma 999, and Karma 333 varieties of centipedes this year, reflecting a diversified and thriving flower farming enterprise.
